- March 24, 2015 - Webinar: Understanding Self-Employment for Income Verification. In this training we will assist housing counselors and HUD personnel in understanding how to calculate income when dealing with self-employed clients. Topics will cover what does it mean to be 1099 vs. W-2; what to look for on income tax returns; how to read profit and loss statements; and other returns that a self-employed person would submit for income verification. - March 25, 2015 - Stakeholder Meeting: Feedback on Performance Review Pilot (9910). This interactive session will reveal results and reactions from the Office of Housing Counseling Reviewers and HUD Approved Housing Counseling Agencies that participated in the reformatted Performance Review Pilot Period (June 2014 through December 2014). - HUD Exchange: HUD has launched an online curriculum, including video, dynamic presentations and self-paced training modules, designed to help HUD partners understand Federal financial requirements. The HUD Exchange Training and Events website also has many other courses and training opportunities of interest to housing counselors, non-profit and local government agencies.
