Ticket from Leena Le - Certification Exam

Hi there, I was wondering to become a HUD certified counselor/agency, can I have provided housing counseling for a year prior to passing the exam to be approved or do I need to provide counseling for 1 year after the exam in order to be certified? To put the question another way, if I/my organization has been providing counseling before having an official certification, can we immediately be HUD certified after passing the exam since we met the criteria of offer counseling for 1 year before the exam. Let me know if you need further clarification.

Hello: I recently completed the Knowledge Assessment (1/15/25) but haven't received email confirmation of doing so. My completion of the Knowledge Assessment is also not indicated on my account. It still reads, "You have not yet completed the Knowledge Assessment". Per the onsite testing guidelines, I believe a confirmation email of Knowledge Assessment completion is needed to take the certification exam onsite. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Andre McKenzie

Hello: I'm having difficulty registering for the onsite HUD Counselor Certification Exam. When I log into my account and go to the exam registration page, it repeatedly reroutes me to the start page after I've entered the information requested. I'd like to take the exam at an onsite testing facility here in NYC. Based on information provided on the HUD Housing Counselors website, I found a Kryterion Testing site here in midtown Manhattan. I contacted them and was informed that registration for the exam is arranged solely through HUD.
