my agency is not hud approved forcounseling currently, but are planning to become approved again. we have hired a certified counselor, but need to figure out how to transfer her certification and then et the whole org certified if possible.

Question:

Who can become a HUD certified housing counselor?

Are candidates required to be working with a government agency to become a HUD certified housing counselor?
