Online Exam Registration

Registration for exams to be taken both online and in person is now available. On the home page at HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov  choose the “Exam Center” tab and then “Register for Exam.” Everyone who wishes to take the exam must register at HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov. When you register for the exam, it will ask you if you wish to take the exam online or in person.

Errors in the training

How To Become Certified

In order to be certified, an individual must both pass a standardized written examination covering six major topic areas, and work for an agency approved to participate in HUD’s housing counseling program. For your information, the training is open to all individuals.

System Requirements for Online Exam

You can find details on the systems requirements to take the remotely proctored online exam at Kryterion Online Proctoring Support.
