Good afternoon, I would like to voice my frustration with the HUD Exam. This is the second time I have taken it and failed. After the first time, I was told I would get an email letting me know what areas needed further study. I never received that email. Additionally, in every course I have taken that culminates with a final exam, you receive feedback on the correct and incorrect answers so that you know what areas need to be studied. I did receive the email this time with the sections I need to study to improve my score and I will go ahead and let that guide and inform my learning going forward. However, I do have a question regarding one of the questions on today's test. One of the questions asked who pays for the real estate broker commission? With the NAR settlement this year, it is now paid by both the seller and the buyer unless otherwise negotiated as part of the purchase and sales contract. This being a recent change, I had no way to fact check the test to know whether it had been updated and what was considered the correct answer. I answered that question correctly based on the recent changes and where we are today. And if HUD had not updated the exam, then my answer may have been marked incorrect which would have affected my overall score. Can you please check that question and let me know what HUD has for a correct answer? Thanks, Ava Whitcomb Downstreet Housing & Community Development
