Again, the person editing this material has left notes in the published version. Module 4.1 page 38 Knowlege Check 12 of the PDF version. A twenty-eight-year-old single woman was denied a mortgage loan. When she asked why, she was told that the lender had given loans to women her age in the past but no longer would. He (can we change “He” for “The lender”?) figured they could not make monthly payments within a few years because they had children and stopped working or cut back to part-time work
