Dear Counselor,

The information included in your exam registration must match your government-issued ID. Additionally, your email address must be updated in order to receive important communication about the exam and certification.

You can update your name, email address, state, and time zone in your User Profile by logging into your HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov user account and selecting "Edit" on the User Profile Dashboard.

Your address is only stored on Webassessor. In order to transmit the new information to Webassessor and/or update your address:

  • Navigate to the Begin Exam Registration or Change Your Test Date page, or select "update your address here" in the user profile.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page
  • Review the information in the registration fields and update the address, if necessary
  • Read the acknowledgements and check the boxes
  • Select the "Continue to schedule and payment" button to automatically transmit the information to Webassessor

You will arrive at the Exam Status Center on Webassessor which means you have successfully transmitted the updated information to Webassessor. The test center or proctor will have immediate access to the updates in Webassessor.
