Access to the practice exam is available on HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov. Sign in and go to the Training Center, then click on “Take Practice Exam” to take the practice exam or learn more. Test takers have unlimited free tries on the practice exam.

Registration for the certification exam opens August 1, 2017 through HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov. Sign in and go to the Training Center, then click on “Register for Exam” to register or learn more. The fee charged each time an individual takes the certification examination is based on the cost of administering the examination.  As per the Federal Register Notice dated May 31, 2017, the cost for online testing at the examinee’s location will now be $60 and at a proctoring site the cost will be $100.
