Hi,
I am very excited about taking my exam to be a HUD certified counselor. Thank you for having the option on being able to test virtually, that is what I chose. However, the set up and trying to work with Kryterion has been one-sided. I made my exam date on a Tuesday so that I could set up my Mac computer for the test I tried to do this on my own and was not successful so I reached out to them a few times with no response back. Their chat is just AI sending their article links that's what on their instructions so that is redundunt no help. The phone # is a recording that they no longer have real live team to help and send you to the website to send in your questions.
I have no IT tech at home, it would be helpful if you would place an * saying, "It is highly recommended that if you take the exam at your housing non-profit office where you have IT support due to the complexity of the testing software that much be loaded in order to take the test". Or something like that. I would have made arrangements to take the test at the office or a test site.
Now I wasted $60 which is a lot for me and my family, time, etc.
Would there be anyway I can receive a code so I can reschedule my exam? I would be so forever grateful.
At the very least I wanted to share my experience with you so that you knew and that another person does not have to go through the stress of not being able to even log on at home.
Thanking you in advance for you time for reading this and energy to help improve the process of becoming a HUD certified counselor. Thank you.

Dear Maria, Thank you for…
Dear Maria,
Thank you for expressing the feedback on your experience trying to become certified.
There is a note and link in the purchase email about accessing the Kryterion Online Test Taker Guide for instructions on preparing for your online exam at least one day before your scheduled exam time.
This way if there is an issue you are able to make other arrangements or reschedule within the allowed timeframe without paying a reschedule fee.
It does look like you requested and received a refund on your exam.
Sincerely,
The HUDhousingcounselors.hud.gov Support Team
