I’m currently locked out of my HUD account due to an issue with two-step authentication. When I originally set up 2FA, I used the QR code provided to add the account to Google Authenticator, which generates six-digit codes.
Later, I added the account to Microsoft Authenticator, which is now giving me eight-digit codes instead. However, when I try to log in, the system is still asking for a six-digit authentication code — which I can no longer access since I’m locked out and can’t scan the original QR code again.
I don’t have any backup codes saved, and I’m unable to proceed with login. Could you please help me reset my 2FA or provide a new QR code so I can set it up again from scratch?
Thanks very much for your help!

Dear Patricia,
Support has reset your account. Please note you will be required to set up two factor authentication upon log in. Failure to do so will result in your account being locked again.
Below are two links to assist in setting up your two-factor log in. Support highly recommends downloading one of these applications on your mobile device.
