To cancel or reschedule your exam, sign in to HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov and select Access Exam Details in the Countdown to your Exam! section of your User Profile Dashboard.
Follow the steps to reschedule or cancel your scheduled exam (canceled exams will be refunded to the credit card used), then follow the steps to schedule a new exam.
First, you will need to authorize the transfer of your test results to FHA Connection. To do that, log in to HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov and Select the “Exam Center” from the top navigation. Then select “Transfer Results to FHA Connection”. You will receive an email confirmation which contains your Exam Counselor ID. For the next steps in the application process, visit the HUD Exchange website.
Individuals planning to take the certification examination at a proctoring center can utilize the tool to Locate a Kryterion Testing Center. Candidates can view appointment availability and schedule the exam via the Registration Process. Test centers cannot schedule your exam.
Bixal will be utilizing Kryterion to provide proctoring services for the HUD Certified Housing Counselor Examination. Individuals planning to take the certification examination online can prepare by taking the following steps:
Prepare for the Certification Exam with a full-version Practice Exam. Questions in the Practice Exam will not be repeated in the Certification Exam. The practice exam is available in English and Spanish.
Study for the Certification Exam with the HUD Housing Counselors Interactive Online Training. The training covers all exam topics in fifteen modules. Materials last updated 9/14/2022.
