Hello, I am a local realtor and I own a property management company. I work with an investor who offers rent to own homes. Once the client is accepted and signs a lease purchase agreement, they must attend financial peace classes. We also work with them on budgeting, relationships with money, and credit counseling to ensure they complete the program and increase their credit score to be able to purchase the property from her within 3-5 years. How would we go about becoming an agency approved to participate in HUD's housing counseling program so we can also offer a first time homeowners program to those that qualify? Through the first time homeowners program will the client be able to qualify for a grant? If so, would it be a specific organization who offers the grant or would we have to partner with a local county grant organization? Thank you.
