Dear Heather,

The following dates are available to select from. Please advise which one of the 3 dates works best for you as soon as possible so we are able to schedule and advise the testing center.

  • 1. 3/31/25 - 9:30 AM
  • 2. 4/1/25 - 9:30 AM
  • 3. 4/2/25 - 9:30 AM

Dear Heather,

Please complete the following steps:

  1. Log into your HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov user account.
  2. Register for the exam .
  3. Notify Support that you have registered for the selected time you have requested on 4/2/25 - 9:30 AM.

Support will switch your exam to accommodate your needs. You will receive a cancellation email and a new confirmation email. We will notify the testing center as soon as possible with the date you have requested.

Support will switch your exam to the version that allows your accommodation. You will receive a cancellation email and a new confirmation email.

Dear Heather,

Support is not allowed to register you for the exam nor access the account to schedule any exam for you. With the accommodations you are requesting unfortunately April 2nd is not an option. You would need to schedule a few more days out.

Dear Hope,

The testing center has informed us that your test must start at 9am and cannot begin at a later time. The earliest testing time for a private room will be March 26 and 29th.

Hi, my name is Heather Schoenwald and I work for Liberty Resources Inc in the Liberty Housing Development Corp department. I would like to take the HUD Housing Counselor certification exam. I am hard of hearing and Blind. I am wondering if I could take the exam oral with unlimited time? I do use a special software called JAWS which is a screen reader but since I am hard of hearing it will take me a while to hear things correctly. I need someone to read out loud the questions/choices to choose from, etc. I would like to take the exam sometimes in the middle of March.
