Why didn’t I receive a score for the practice exam?

The practice exam is designed to give candidates a feeling for the format and style of test questions and the breadth of the subject matter in the test. The practice exam does not provide numeric scoring because performance on the practice exam does not guarantee passing results on the certification exam. Following completion of the practice exam, candidates receive a performance report with recommended areas for improvement. The recommendations are based on how well candidates perform in each content area of the examination.

To cancel or reschedule your exam, sign in to HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov and select Access Exam Details in the Countdown to your Exam! section of your User Profile Dashboard. 

Follow the steps to reschedule or cancel your scheduled exam (canceled exams will be refunded to the credit card used), then follow the steps to schedule a new exam.

I’ve taken the exam and passed it. What do I do next?

First, you will need to authorize the transfer of your test results to FHA Connection. To do that, log in to HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov and Select the “Exam Center” from the top navigation. Then select “Transfer Results to FHA Connection”. You will receive an email confirmation which contains your Exam Counselor ID. For the next steps in the application process, visit the HUD Exchange website.
