The practice exam is designed to give candidates a feeling for the format and style of test questions and the breadth of the subject matter in the test (90 questions that are not broken into smaller stand-alone sections). It is delivered in a similar format to the certification exam. The practice exam does not provide numeric scoring because performance on the practice exam does not guarantee passing results on the certification exam.

Individuals planning to take the certification examination at a proctoring center can utilize the tool to Locate a Kryterion Testing Center. 

The exam will be available both in person and online throughout the US and in US Territories where there are proctoring centers, including Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. The exam will be available online only in the Northern Mariana Islands and American Samoa, as there are no proctoring centers in these areas.

Payment for test is getting declined due to technical error.

It is very unfortunate that the Practice Exam is always the same and you do not see your score or which questions you got wrong. It makes the Practice Exam almost completely worthless. Don't understand the idiocy that is the HUD Certification Exam.

I have applied for certification. What happens next?

I was scheduled to take the HUD Counselors exam today at 11:15 AM EST. Once I began, I was suspended because their system didn't use the correct camera. I blocked off the internal camera and purchase a new external camera which was connected. This was resolved. Then, I became frustrated with the calculator that is included with the test and I spoke out loud, to myself about it and I was suspended again for talking. I sent a chat to them and they said due to their procedures they couldn't let me continue with my exam. I was speaking to myself because I was frustrated with the calculator.

Unable to login - I was given a temp login and then tried to change my password but the tells me it’s not right. Please advise

If you are unable to recall your password, enter your account email in the Forgot Password? tool. Within a few minutes, you will receive an email with a link to verify that you are the account owner. You will need to set a new account password after email verification.

I cancelled my exam within the 24 hour window yet I was charged 50.00. Why?
ONLINE PROCTORED EXAMS. ‌To avoid a $50 no-show or cancellation fee, candidates must reschedule or cancel a scheduled online test session within 24 hours of the scheduled exam.
