To create an account on HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov, select "Sign Up" at the top of the page and enter the information required: 

• First name
• Last name
• Email address*
• State

Then, select the "Create new account" button at the bottom of the form. Verify your email to complete your registration.

The information included in your exam registration must match your government-issued ID. Additionally, your email address must be updated in order to receive important communication about the exam and certification.

You can update your name, email address, state, and time zone in your User Profile by logging into your HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov user account and selecting "Edit" on the User Profile Dashboard.

I have changed my password multiple times and now my account is locked.

Your request for extra time due to Limited English Proficiency has been approved. 

Please register for the exam then reply to this ticket or call Support to let us know you are registered.

Support will switch your exam to the extended time version. You will receive a cancellation email an a new confirmation email. Your start time may change depending on test center availability.

Please provide an alternate date and time in case we are not able to secure the date you registered for.
