Dear Counselor,

The practice exam is designed to give candidates a feeling for the format and style of test questions and the breadth of the subject matter in the test (90 questions that are not broken into smaller stand-alone sections). It is delivered in a similar format to the certification exam. The practice exam does not provide numeric scoring because performance on the practice exam does not guarantee passing results on the certification exam.

Is there any cost?

I registered my counselor for proctored exam and no one was at location to allow testing??

Training materials and the certification examination are periodically updated to reflect changes in regulations and program policies. The certification examination will be based on the most recent version of the training content posted in Revision History on www.HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov. 

I am trying to create a new account, I keep getting error message" username filed is required" however there is no spot to enter that

To create an account on HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov, select "Sign Up" at the top of the page and enter the information required: 

• First name
• Last name
• Email address*
• State

Then, select the "Create new account" button at the bottom of the form. Verify your email to complete your registration.

I am seeking information on how I can get my 501c3 HUD certified. I have a directed going through the certification process as a counselor. Please advise.
