There is no limit on how many times you can take the exam. However, the registration system does limit the number of times a candidate can register for the exam. 

If you receive a notice about maximum attempts, please call Support at 800-448-7149. Support will manually unlock the registration system while on the phone with you allowing you to register. Please do not call Support for assistance until you are ready to complete registration and pay for the exam. 

Exam registration, cancellations, and changes are handled through your account on HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov.

I reseted my face picture, but 11:45 am 7/24/21 the software can not capture my face again. Like last week the same situation. Right now I can not launch the exam because the time is out. What can I do now? By the way, when I used the help online chat, even the chat starts the exam software hide the chat I can not see it. Is there any hot key or way to see the chat? If that is my cam's problem , why did not tell me or notice me when I set my face capturing before the exam.

I paid to retake exam online but did not receive test date or time.

Good afternoon,

I was set to take the exam yesterday however I had technical difficulties downloading the software required to access the exam. I rescheduled my exam for Aug. 10th, but my director informed me that it would be best to take the exam onsite at a testing center, is there anyway I can be switched from the online course ?

To access the exam registration, you must be signed into your account on HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov.

Select Begin Exam Registration in the Countdown to your Exam! section of your User Profile Dashboard. Follow the steps to register for the exam and complete the form at the bottom of the page.

Do I have to be working for a HUD counseling agency to take the exam. I want to become a HUD counselor, but all the jobs I apply to want you to be certified. Already.
