Online Training Issue - Access

Caller said the "webinar" wasn't working for him. I attempted to have him click on the technical support and check that his operating system and Flash were up to date. It then appeared he was on a different site, somewhere on HUD.gov. Once he was on the correct site, he was able to access the trainings.

The caller couldn't access the training materials. I informed the caller about the technical specifications required to run the program and guided the caller to "Technical Support" area on the website. The caller speculated that it might be because they were using their work computer.

Certification Exam Question

The caller was doing the training and stated that when she and her colleagues clicked to take the certification exam, it didn't work. I explained that as the Final Rule had not been published, the Certification Exam was not yet available.

The caller asked how people would know when the exam was available and I said I couldn't be certain.

The caller wanted to know how much the exam might cost. I explained that it was not yet available because the Final Rule hadn't been published. He then asked if studying the training materials would still be helpful and I explained that the exam, when published, will be based on the training.

Housing Counselor Question - Certification

Issue: Questions on certification process. Caller had been certified as a housing counselor before and was asking whether this was the new certification process.
Support: I explained that the final rule hadn't been published and so the details surrounding certification were as yet unknown. The caller asked how long the certification would be good for and I repeated that the final rule would be the determining factor for that information.
