I recently began employment with the Bloomington Housing Authority (IL) in April 2021. We did not have a housing counselor and as the FSS Coordinator, I became interested in becoming certified. I was not informed about the certification process until early July. Is there anyway someone can become certified after August 1st? There are in person exam is being offered after that day. Exam registration, cancellations, and changes are handled through your account on HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov.

I registered about 30 minutes ago to take the exam tomorrow. I have not received the confirmation e-mail as of yet. Does the email confirmation take longer or is there a problem. Thanks

To access the exam registration, you must be signed into your account on HUDHousingCounselors.hud.gov.

Select Begin Exam Registration in the Countdown to your Exam! section of your User Profile Dashboard. Follow the steps to register for the exam.
